YOUNGSTOWN AIR RESERVE STATION, Ohio -- The 910th Airlift Wing hosted their annual family day weekend, Oct. 5 and 6, 2019, at Youngstown Air Reserve Station. The two-day event focused on bringing everyone together to acknowledge and show appreciation for family members' support of their Airmen.
“All of us realize we could not serve our country without the support of our families,” said Col. Joe Janik, commander of the 910th Airlift Wing. “While we as military members are fortunate enough to put on the uniform and serve our nation, our families are the unsung heroes of our military force.”
This year’s family day included a free concert performed by Nashville recording artist Ricky Lee. The concert was sponsored by the USO of Northern Ohio.
Other activities included morning yoga on the aircraft ramp, car and motorcycle show, petting zoo, shooting simulator, hayrides, jail and bail, K-9 demonstration, various activities for kids and a haunted house provided by Airman and Family Readiness.
