Technical Sgt. Gilberto P. Hernandez was recognized by Air Force Reserve Command and 22nd Air Force as the 2015 Financial Management NCO of the Year. The AFRC FM Inspector General coined Hernandez as a Superior Performer during the 340th Flying Training Group’s Compliance Evaluation Inspection and praised him for top-notch execution and program management.

Chief Master Sgt. Michael Thorpe

Thorpe entered the Reserve in 1988. After completing basic training and Combat Arms Technical School at Lackland Air Force Base, Texas, he was assigned to Westover Air Reserve Base, Massachusetts.

Thorpe noted his two deployments were some of the highlights of his career. He first deployed in 1990 in support of Operations Desert Shield and Desert Storm, and again in 2001 in support of Operation Noble Eagle.
