440th AW Supports Fayetteville's 2016 Field of Honor
Hundreds of flags fly gallantly in the Airborne and Special Operations’ Field of Honor in recognition of all service members who made the ultimate sacrifice in their service to our country, May 21, 2016. This year’s Field of Honor dedication to our fallen heroes since 9/11, mirrors nearly 300 fields across the United States. It is the hope that the sea of flags in front of the ASOM engenders hope, comfort and healing, by providing a positive image of patriotism for the community of Fayetteville as well as acknowledgment of scale of sacrifice each flag represents.
