Final Flight
440th Airlift Wing C-130 aircraft number 4404 lifts off the runway at Pope Army Airfield, N.C., on its final flight June 29, 2016. The flyaway of the 440th's last aircraft was a major step toward the inactivation of the historic Air Force Reserve unit, and marks the first time since 1919 that Fort Bragg has not had any permanently collocated Air Force or Air Corps aircraft.
